The story
01

Rooted in showing up.

She was born in Southern California and moved to Ohio at nine. Three different schools across four years, learning early how to walk into a room where nobody knew her name and make it matter that she was there.

By sixth grade she was a library aide, a receptionist assistant, on safety patrol, delivering newspapers after school each week, and volunteering at a senior citizen center and a developmental center for children with disabilities. Not because anyone required it. Because showing up for others was already the operating system.

Her granny came when she was twelve. Some people arrive in your life and rearrange what you thought was possible. Granny was that.

Sports followed. Volleyball, basketball, and soccer at every competitive level available. Junior Olympics, AAU, select teams. High school added track and field. Discus, shot put, long jump. The newspaper route stayed the whole time. She kept it until the morning she left for college. Her granny took it over the next day.

She earned a full Division I athletic scholarship to play volleyball at Youngstown State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications. In 1999, she started in television news. She has never stopped showing up since.

02

A nationwide organization. Twenty-plus markets. Twenty-five years.

Twenty-five years building a nationwide organization across more than twenty US markets. Hundreds of people. Decades of decisions. The kind of resume that looks like the answer. The interior work most leaders never get to is the work of asking, before any strategy or any goal, the only question that ever produces a life worth having. What is true. The Alignment Code™ is what comes after that question is taken seriously.

03

The pressure is structural. The way through is personal.

Building at scale as a woman is its own discipline. The pressure to perform, to be palatable, to earn your seat in every room is not abstract. It is structural. The Alignment Code™ was built, in part, by a woman who has lived inside that pressure for twenty-five years. It names what most rooms will not, and then it names the way through. Alignment over approval. Every time.

04

Truth over approval.

There came a point where she stopped asking what works and started asking what is true. That shift changed everything. The Alignment Code™ is not about doing more. It is about removing what is not you. Choosing clarity over chaos. Standards over shortcuts. Truth over approval. Everything she has built comes from that place.

The long version

A practitioner, not a pundit.

Harmony Vallejo is a keynote speaker, author, and the creator of The Alignment Code™. With more than twenty-five years of experience leading organizations, building teams, and developing leaders, she has become a sought-after voice on the philosophy of alignment, the gap between achievement and fulfillment, and the practice of building a life and legacy rooted in truth rather than performance.

Born in Southern California and raised in Ohio from the age of nine, Harmony built her early instincts through displacement, discipline, and an instinct for showing up before anyone asked her to. She attended three different schools across four years. The ground kept shifting, and she kept finding her footing.

By sixth grade, the picture was already clear. Library aide. Receptionist assistant. Safety patrol. A weekly newspaper route she ran after school. Volunteer at a senior citizen center. Volunteer at a developmental center for children with disabilities. Not one of these was assigned to her. She chose them. At eleven years old, before she had words for service or leadership or alignment, already living toward something.

Her granny came when she was twelve. There are people who arrive in your life not to fill a role but to install a standard. Granny was that. The newspaper route, which Harmony would carry every week for years, through middle school, through high school, through every practice and every season, was Granny's gift. Not the money. The discipline. The proof, repeated weekly, that commitment is not a feeling. It is a practice.

Sports expanded the picture. Middle school brought volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Then the competitive tiers opened. Junior Olympic volleyball, AAU basketball, select soccer. High school added track and field. Discus, shot put, long jump. In high school she also filmed and edited a video segment called Commons Comment, learning early that the person who controls the frame determines what the audience sees.

She earned a full Division I athletic scholarship to play volleyball at Youngstown State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications. Her career began in 1999 in television news. Deadline-driven, story-first, no room for performance that doesn't hold up under scrutiny.

From there she moved into agency and brand strategy work, and then into building organizations of her own. Over twenty-five years of leadership across multiple industries, she watched the same pattern surface again and again, in herself and in the high performers around her. The business worked. The results came. And somewhere along the way, success quietly became performance.

That observation, refined across two decades of leading, building, and coaching, became the foundation of The Alignment Code™. A proven system to move from performance to alignment, so leaders can build, lead, and live from who they actually are. The four pillars, Awareness, Regulation, Realignment, and Embodiment, sit at the center of her keynotes, her course, and her private advisory engagements.
